This song came about when I received an email from a friend who was depressed – I was concerned that he might harm himself, and was trying desperately to contact him – and this event reminded me of the demise of my own father. So ‘please pick up the phone’ is about my friend, and ‘the suns coming up’ is about both him and my own father. A haunting melody about loss of father – listen below.
